Briefing from the Outskirts
What is Breathedge 2?
Breathedge 2 is a space survival adventure by RedRuins Softworks, published by HypeTrain Digital. It entered Steam Early Access on 31 August 2026 at $19.99 (20% off at launch) with 480,000 wishlists behind it. You are the Man again — with Sui the suit AI on your back, Babe and the immortal Chicken — stranded on a train car in the Outskirts after your own allies shoot you down. One story chapter ships now; the developers plan 16–20 months of Early Access, with a personal ship and vehicle in Q1 2027, planets and base building in late 2027, and 1.0 in 2028.
What this site tables from the first chapter: 39 achievements with live unlock rates, 50 collectibles in route order, 18 side quests and what they pay, 18 resources and where each really comes from, every DIY module and its stat, the five tools, the cast and both hotfixes. There are no promo codes in this game — the only code is the train's own number on the cab door.

First shift
Survive the first hour in 5 steps
- Power the train. Raise the pantograph, find the battery in the wrecked luggage compartment (out, right twice, lower section), fix the interphone. First hour walkthrough →
- Repair the kettle and food machine before anything else. Plastic is finite; the Cutter can wait. Food, water and fatigue →
- Learn where oxygen is. Worm nests regenerate, the public oxygen station is left of the train, and safe zones with free air are gone. Oxygen guide →
- Do the side quests next to home. The Attendant is +2 protection and its parts are in sight of the platform. All 18 side quests →
- Bolt junk onto your tools. Durability modules first, then damage; a broken module is gone but the tool is not. Every DIY module →

FAQ
Is Breathedge 2 the same thing as Breathedge Chapter 2?
No. “Breathedge Chapter 2” is the second chapter of the first game (2021). Breathedge 2 is a separate sequel that entered Steam Early Access on August 31, 2026. Searches for “breathedge chapter 2” are still the biggest related query, so this site only covers the new game.
Is Breathedge 2 out?
Yes, in Early Access on Steam since August 31, 2026 (15:00 UTC). The full 1.0 release is planned for 2028 according to the official roadmap.
How much does Breathedge 2 cost?
$19.99 USD, with a 20% launch discount ($15.99). RedRuins has said the price will rise gradually as major updates ship, as it did with the first game, so the Early Access start is the cheapest it will be.
How this scrapyard is kept
Breathedge 2 Scrapyard is an independent, unofficial fan resource for Breathedge 2 players — not affiliated with RedRuins Softworks.
- How we verify: Every number on a data page names its source: the public Steam achievement stats, the Steam announcements and hotfix notes, the Steam forum, or a timestamped video. A single-source fact is labelled as such.
- Update cadence: Hotfix notes go into the log the day they appear on Steam; achievement unlock rates and the player-count snapshot are re-read every Monday; quest and resource pages are re-checked after each patch that touches them.
- What we don't do: We do not print door codes we could not see entered on screen, guess crafting numbers, rank tools we cannot measure, or write pages for ships, planets and base building that are not in the game yet.
