Quest notes and sources
Repair the train
Any battery from any location now counts for the hatch step (Hotfix 0.8.6). The first large battery is in a destroyed luggage compartment: leave the car, turn right twice, check the lower section.

Assemble the Attendant
All three parts are within a short flight of the base; the head is the easiest to spot. In the 2025 demo 45,978 players installed the head.

Repair the antenna
Knocking the ice off very quickly sometimes did not count — fixed in 0.8.6. The antenna near the ticket counters is guarded by an automatic turret.

Repair the loudspeaker
Markers were broken at launch: 0.8.5 moved the marker to the oxygen terminal and highlights the speaker on the HUD during the repair stage.

Repair the public oxygen station
The quest shows no marker for some players; the station is immediately left of the train exit.

Repair the ticket booth
Go behind the building and repair the computer to switch the turret off (needs the right resources).

Playground: hide the mannequins
Game Guides Channel titles the video "Playground Quest — Hide The Mannequins" and says it is the Safe Content achievement guide with all mannequin locations. Listed at 4:49 in the MrLeLedg side-quest run.

Launch the Thronuhaluer
Game Guides Channel spells it "Thronuhaluer" and labels the video the Shipbuilder achievement guide; MrLeLedg lists it as "Thronehauler" at 6:14. The Shipbuilder text: "letting your imagination take flight, not your ship."

Finish the sculpture
Placement is fiddly: move the ball around the model until a green highlight appears. Once a part is placed its slot is locked (0.8.5); stuck pieces sit one metre above their slot.

Romantic spot
The achievement text: “over 80% of couples who hang love locks eventually break up. Knock the locks off, keep families together!”

The Foreman’s test
The most-searched side quest. The heater it unlocks is part of the ice-melting chain that opens the lower map. We have not transcribed the answers; the quiz is short.

Study the oxyworm nests
Nests regenerate; the blue worms near them can be eaten or crafted into purified oxygen and air candles. Game Guides Channel has a 2-minute nest-locations video.

Boosters
"breathedge 2 booster" is a live search; objective text unconfirmed — no single-topic video on the three guide channels covers it.

Assemble the Leader’s statue
One of the small engines for the main quest sits behind this statue when viewed from the heated area.

Build the snowman
Several players report the placement is the fiddliest of the build quests; one Steam Deck player saw the snowman already standing and could not interact.

Chuck’s Taxi
The “L” is under the platform where the pair of bots sit at first; letters differ by language. The nutriworms for alcohol hover above the tower next to the taxi station.

Weird toilet
Last entry in the MrLeLedg side-quest run (32:31).

Cold protection 100
4 cardboard + 1 foam is enough. A drink gives temporary cold protection; armour degrades when hit and cannot be repaired yet. One player reports 117 protection without the quest completing.

Order that works
- Fix the train, then the public oxygen station immediately left of the exit — a free refill point for everything else.
- Attendant: all three parts are within sight of the platform, and +2 physical protection helps with the cops.
- Ticket booth and antenna: shut the turret down from the computer behind the building first, then loot the counters.
- Reach 100 cold protection at the wardrobe (4 cardboard + 1 foam), then work the heaters and the Foreman to open the frozen lower area, where the snowman, the loose refined metal and the extra light bulbs are.
- Leave the Leader statue, sculpture and Chuck's Taxi for when you have inventory room: they are fetch-and-assemble jobs with fiddly placement.
Side quest FAQ
Do side quests matter in Breathedge 2?
Yes. They unlock blueprints, upgrades and stashes, and achievements grant permanent stat bonuses — the Attendant alone is +2 physical protection. The developers moved most interesting content off the main line on purpose.
Where is the Foreman test?
In the heated work area where the repair robots operate. Repair the foreman robot, then answer its calibration quiz ("choose the statement that best fits"). Its heater is part of the ice-melting chain that opens the lower map.
Why does my quest have no marker?
Several launch quests shipped with missing or wrong markers. Hotfix 0.8.5 fixed the loudspeaker marker; the public oxygen station is simply left of the train exit; the missing small engine is behind the Leader statue.
